Overview of Energy and Environment
Abstract
Energy and environment are closely related to one another, and they are among the most important factors that influence the development and well-being of all nations in the world. The issues of depleting conventional energy resources, its impact on the environment and global climate, its pricing volatility and security of supply, are among the topics widely debated in the national, regional and global arena. The Journal of Energy & Environment is dedicated to advance knowledge and share ideas in the area of energy and environment among researchers, professionals, policy makers and the public at large, to inculcate innovations needed to solve problems for a better and sustainable future. A major aim of Energy and Environment is to act as a forum for constructive and professional debate between scientists and technologists, social scientists and economists from academia, government and the energy industries on energy and environment issues in both a national and international context. It is also the aim to include the informed and environmentally concerned public and their organizations in the debate. Particular attention is given to ways of resolving conflict in the energy and environment field.
