Introduction of A Single Phase Transformer less DC- AC Multi Level Inverter For PV Applications
Abstract
There is a growing trend in photovoltaic inverter technology to use fewer topology transformers in order to achieve higher efficiencies combined with very low ground leakage current. The proposed multilevel inverter produces a seven-level ac output voltage with the correct gate signal configuration. The low-pass filter is often used to reduce the overall harmonic distortion of the sinusoidal output voltage. In the proposed multi-level inverter, the switching losses and the voltage stress of the power equipment can be reduced. The operating principles of the proposed inverter and the process of voltage balancing of the input capacitors are discussed.
