RECTANGULAR PATCH ANTENNA FOR C BAND APPLICATIONS
Abstract
There are various type of micro strip patch antenna [1] that can be used for many applications in communication system. This paper presents the large bandwidth of a rectangular patch antenna which is designed for wireless local area network (WLANs) applications and operating for ISM band, and wideband applications. The proposed antenna gives a bandwidth of 4.32 to7.1 GHz for S11-10dB. The antenna has the dimensions of 31.04 mm by 36.2 mm by 3.2 mm on FR4 substrate. The antenna is simulated by An soft HFSS software which is finite element method based simulator. After simulation the antenna performance characteristics such as, input impedance, return loss, polar plot are obtained
