Abstract

India is a country that uses railway transportation in a massive way, Indians prefer railway transportation mostly because of the cheaper transportation charges. As we know, railway tracks are spread all over India, so it will be difficult to manually maintain and monitor them by the management. Due to lack of maintenance railway accidents are increasing day by day. The project helps us to avoid train accidents by monitoring the railway tracks with the help of a robot. With the help of robots, we can identify train derailments near the curves and bends, obstacles and cracks on the railway track can be identified, and also a maximum number of collisions between the trains can be avoided. It will be difficult for the management to keep continuous assessment and observation on the railway tracks manually, this methodology helps us in continuous monitoring of the railway tracks and gives the information to the management as it detects any cracks or derailments in the railway tracks.
