SMART FALL DETECTION BOX
Abstract
Falls are one of the important predictors of medical problems faced by older adults. Older people are more likely to trip and injure themselves, especially when they live alone. After accidents, slips and falls, you should seek medical attention to reduce the chance of getting lost in case of serious injuries that could result in death. Webcams are used in some technologies designed to monitor physical activity in older adults. However, operating and installation costs are valuable and only apply to inland locations. Some masons also worry about insulation issues. Current capitalized prejudices have required users to wear wirelessly in a crisis transmitter as a result of pendants and bracelets. This system restricts the user's movements and generates a large number of false alarms due to the device moves and shakes frequently. This project proposed a cost-effective and reliable fall detection system that detects falls and notifies help and assistance to nearby medical centres or relatives. To detect a fall, a gyroscope and accelerometer were used to determine the body acceleration and angle of a person who fell alone by combining the accelerometer and gyroscope, the system's sensitivity is enhanced by reducing both true negatives and false negatives. To minimize false positives, the device was placed on the user's torso. A notification system in the form of SMS (Short Message Service) was handed over to the authorities. Additionally, these wearables have poor performance and fast response times. As a result, these fall detection and warning systems have sensitivity and specificity between 90 and 95, respectively. However, a limitation of this device is that it is not suitable for explaining a case where a user falls on tiptoe in a sitting posture stepping on a wall. It is suggested to create an interactive display for further work. Smokers can enter the phone numbers of medical centres and relatives.
