Abstract

Modern cities have a significant difficulty when it comes to waste management. A state-of-the-art, user-friendly, and up-to-date system is required for managing residential garbage and monitoring collection vehicles from a distance. Our fully automated waste collection system is now being upgraded to take use of the Internet of Things and cloud computing. Our approach uses cloud services and ultra-low- power RFID sensor-tags to create a waste management system that is aware of the Internet of Things. Every day, this system would track garbage collection routes and report any anomalies to the proper authorities. This initiative is an example of efficient city management in terms of maintaining public spaces free of everyday waste. This system would oversee the daily garbage collection process and provide relevant data to the proper authorities. This method of waste management is a model for other cities to follow since it gets rid of the most prevalent causes of litter in metropolitan areas. A Raspberry Pi central processing unit (CPU), an RFID card, a load cell module (a kind of weight sensor), a buzzer, an LCD, and an Internet of Things server would be needed to put together this system.
