UNEMPLOYMENT IN INDIA
Abstract
— This paper tells us about how there is a lack of employment amongst educated youth in the country and how even though the GDP of the country is increasing but the unemployment rate is not increasing. Our studies have tried to find out on how there is a brain drain in the country and how people in the government sector are happy with their monotonous lives because it gives them security in terms of remuneration and they are not willing to come out of the rural areas of India for better economic opportunities. Unemployment also prevails because of socio-economic reasons and the existing patriarchal notions that have been ingrained in our country. Our studies have also found that the people who have moved abroad have found a much better work-life balance which is not there in the private sector enterprises in our country and for this reason, employees don’t want to be a part of the hustle culture in the urban areas of India. The studies also try to interpret on why with the increasing number of education the employment rate is not increasing and how researchers have done their share of interpretation and tried to understand the systematic slowdown of employment and education in the rural areas of India.
