HARNESSING EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE FOR ENHANCED WORKPLACE PERFORMANCE
Abstract
— Emotional intelligence (EI) is increasingly recognized as a critical factor in achieving enhanced workplace performance. This study explores how harnessing EI can lead to significant improvements in individual productivity, leadership effectiveness, team dynamics, and overall organizational success. By synthesizing theoretical frameworks and empirical research, the study highlights the key components of EI—self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills—and their direct impact on workplace outcomes. Practical strategies for developing and integrating EI within organizational practices are also discussed, providing a comprehensive roadmap for organizations seeking to leverage EI for competitive advantage. The findings underscore the importance of emotional intelligence in fostering a resilient, collaborative, and high-performing work environment.
