DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION IN WORKPLACE: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN CENTRAL AFRICA REPUBLIC
Abstract
This study examines the current state of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within organizations, focusing on systemic biases, cultural barriers, and unconscious prejudices. Using a quantitative approach with a structured questionnaire, data from 500 employees reveal high levels of perceived diversity and equity, though inclusion scores are slightly lower. Gender disparities and educational background significantly influence DEI perceptions. The findings highlight the need for comprehensive DEI strategies, regular monitoring, and tailored programs to enhance employee engagement and organizational performance. Recommendations include mentorship programs, pay equity audits, inclusive culture development, and increased awareness and communication efforts.
