Abstract

Growing your own plants at home can be an exciting process. Nowadays, everyone is very interested in investing their time in gardening. [7] It is not possible to grow all kinds of plants at home because of different weather conditions and plant requirements. Therefore, it might be helpful to create an artificial environment for growing plants indoors; a self-contained growing system that cultivates the plant from seed to maturity. This system allows monitoring and control of the environment for the plants. This automated incubator provides light with specific wavelengths that are sufficient for plant growth, depending on the species. It uses "Aeroponics" technology to irrigate the plants with fertilizer mist. This is done with an ultrasonic atomizer that creates a mist. Maintaining temperature and humidity is also important. With the help of temperature and humidity sensors, we get the data and regulate it accordingly with a fan. The system is also equipped with a pH and TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) sensors to maintain the pH of the water suitable for the plants. It can be achieved with an Arduino microcontroller, sensors, a LCD display, voltage regulators, LED lights and more. All the conditions for the plant are entered as input to the program, and are read by the microcontroller.
