An Overview of Cloud Security: Scope, Services and Risks
Abstract
The cloud computing storage, access, and management of data for businesses and individuals have been revolutionized by cloud computing. However, this new paradigm brings unique security challenges that must be addressed to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information. This journal provides an overview of cloud security, including the scope of cloud security, various cloud service models (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), and different cloud environments (public, private, hybrid, multi-cloud). Additionally, it explores key aspects of cloud security, such as data security, identity and access management, governance, data retention and business continuity planning, and legal compliance. Furthermore, the journal discusses the risks associated with cloud-based infrastructure, including legacy IT frameworks, third-party data storage service disruptions, internal threats, and external threats posed by malicious actors. By understanding the scope of cloud security and the challenges it presents, organizations can develop robust strategies to protect their data in the cloud.
