GRAPHOLOGY AND HANDWRITING ANALYSIS AND ITS IMPACT ON PSYCHOLOGICAL BEHAVIOUR
Abstract
Handwriting analysis is a scientific study method of identifying, evaluating, and understanding a person's personality based on handwriting. A neurological brain pattern represents each individual's personality traits. The neurons in the brain make a pattern which is according to the neuro-muscular movement that is the same for every person who has that particular personality trait. When writing, these tiny movements occur unconsciously. The pen's pressure is applied while writing, and the pattern can reveal the person's personality traits. The true personality, including sentimental outlay, fears, honesty, and defenses, are revealed. Professional handwriting examiners called graphologists to analyze handwriting samples for this purpose. However, the accuracy of the analysis depends on how skilled the analyst is. The analyst is also prone to fatigue. The high cost incurred is yet another deterrent. This research paper aims to implement the offline, author-independent handwriting analysis system "HABIT" (Handwriting Analysis Based Individualistic Trait Prediction) as a tool for predicting author personality traits from a scanned image. A sample of the author's handwriting (photo of the author's writing) is given as input. Handwriting analysis or Graphology can be used as a scientific and technical means of evaluating, identifying, and understanding someone's personality depending on handwriting. Handwriting is usually called mind writing or brain writing.
