Abstract

The exponential growth of social networks, sensors, and scientific applications has resulted in an overwhelming surge of data. Cloud computing emerges as a viable solution to manage this data deluge, enabling service providers to dynamically allocate computing resources to meet rising customer demands. Effective data management and optimal resource utilization are inherently interconnected in cloud environments. Cloud computing offers a transformative approach by streamlining resource provisioning, reducing deployment time, and enhancing computational efficiency. Biometric data processing, a field experiencing rapid expansion in data volume, necessitates scalable storage and processing solutions. BAMCloud addresses these challenges by efficiently managing biometric signature data, with its applicability extending to healthcare systems. A cost-benefit analysis of BAMCloud deployment on Amazon EC2 confirms its feasibility as an efficient workflow pipeline in public cloud environments.
