Abstract
Disaster recovery (DR) is a mission-critical requirement in enterprise IT. This research compares VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) with cloud-native alternatives like Azure Site Recovery and AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery. Metrics such as recovery time objective (RTO), recovery point objective (RPO), automation efficiency, and cost are evaluated. The results offer a decision framework for enterprises selecting DR strategies for virtualized workloads.
