Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum communication technologies offers a transformative approach to achieving secure and intelligent data transmission in Beyond 5G and 6G Internet of Things (IoT) networks. The proposed AI-Enabled Quantum-Secure Communication Framework introduces a multi-layered architecture that merges quantum key distribution (QKD), post-quantum cryptography (PQC), and AI-driven threat analytics to ensure end-to-end confidentiality, integrity, and resilience across heterogeneous IoT environments. Within this framework, AI modules embedded at edge and cloud layers utilize federated learning and anomaly detection to predict and mitigate cyber threats in real time. Quantum-secure channels provide unbreakable encryption through entanglement-based key exchanges, while PQC ensures computational safety against future quantum attacks. The 5G/6G infrastructure—empowered by massive MIMO, terahertz links, and reconfigurable intelligent surfaces—facilitates ultra-low-latency, high-bandwidth data transfer, supporting intelligent resource allocation and adaptive routing. Additionally, blockchain-based identity management reinforces trust and transparency among devices and users. Collectively, this framework establishes a robust paradigm for quantum-resilient, AI-optimized communication, ensuring secure interoperability and sustainable scalability for future-generation IoT ecosystems.
