Abstract

Urban safety is a critical concern, especially for women navigating unfamiliar or poorly-lit urban areas. While navigation technology has advanced, proactive tools for predict- ing and preventing safety risks remain underdeveloped. This paper presents SafeRoute.AI, an AI-powered dynamic urban safety navigation system that leverages historical crime data, location patterns, and clustering algorithms to identify unsafe areas and provide actionable safety insights. The system ad- dresses the reactive nature of existing safety solutions by offering predictive analytics that help women avoid high-risk zones before incidents occur. Through machine learning classification of urban zones, real-time heatmap generation, safe route suggestions, and a community-driven feedback mechanism, SafeRoute.AI empowers women with preventive safety measures. The platform also includes an administrative dashboard for law enforcement monitoring, creating a comprehensive ecosystem for urban safety enhancement.
