Abstract

The Automatic Floor Cleaner is a compact, cost-effective, and efficient cleaning system designed to reduce human effort and time required for floor maintenance. The system integrates mechanical, electrical, and electronic components to perform automatic sweeping and mopping operations on various floor surfaces such as tiles, marble, and concrete. It operates using a DC motor-driven mechanism controlled by a microcontroller, enabling autonomous movement and obstacle avoidance. The cleaner is equipped with rotating brushes and a water-spray or wet-mop arrangement to remove dust, dirt, and stains effectively. Sensors are used to detect obstacles and ensure smooth navigation, while a rechargeable battery provides uninterrupted operation. The design focuses on simplicity, low power consumption, and ease of maintenance, making it suitable for homes, offices, hospitals, and educational institutions.
