Abstract

The widespread adoption of hybrid work models has transformed workforce management and created new challenges for talent retention. Organizations are increasingly required to redesign their Human Resource Management (HRM) strategies to retain skilled employees while addressing changing workforce expectations regarding flexibility, career development, employee well-being, and work-life integration. This study examines the major challenges and opportunities associated with talent retention in hybrid work environments from an integrated HR perspective. Using a qualitative research approach based on secondary data, the study reviews existing literature to identify the factors influencing employee retention and develops a conceptual framework linking strategic HR practices with employee retention outcomes. The findings indicate that flexible work arrangements, supportive leadership, career growth opportunities, employee engagement, organizational culture, and digital HR practices significantly contribute to retaining talented employees. The study concludes that organizations adopting employee-centric retention strategies are better positioned to sustain workforce stability, improve organizational performance, and achieve long-term competitive advantage.
